About the role:

As an Automation Electrician at Åkers Sweden, you will work close to production with a focus on developing, optimizing, and ensuring operations in a heavy industrial environment. The role involves both practical work with machinery and advanced handling of automation systems, from local equipment to complex higher-level systems. You will become part of an experienced maintenance and automation team and work in a varied environment with machines handling large products (8–80 tons).

The position is located in Åkers Styckebruk.

Responsibilities:

• Programming and management of the company's automation systems.
• Drive development within control and regulation technology.
• Work for optimal operation with a focus on availability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshooting and optimization of automation solutions.
• Participate in project activities and technical development.
• Contribute to maintenance activities within the functional area.
• Work close to production with large machines handling rolls (8–80 tons).
• Daily morning and afternoon briefings.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Formal education as an automation electrician or service electrician, or equivalent experience.
• Competence in automation as well as experience with Siemens software and products.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Knowledge in advanced control and regulation technology.
• Experience working in heavy industry.
• Experience with complex automation systems and communication interfaces.
• Knowledge of German.
