About the position

We are looking for a person to join a thriving industrial company with low staff turnover in Eskilstuna. The client company works with melting and pressure casting in aluminum, as well as post-processing in the form of milling, turning, and simpler assembly. We are primarily looking for a furnace operator, but work as a foundry operator may also be relevant.

Job Description

As a furnace operator, you are responsible for the process where the aluminum is melted and transported by forklift to the foundry operators. As a furnace operator, you receive aluminum and are responsible for three melting furnaces. You then drive the melt to the foundry machines with a forklift and pour the melt into holding furnaces. Once a week, samples are taken and analyzed in a spectrometer. Overhaul and daily maintenance of the furnaces are part of the job.

The foundry operators are responsible for one to two presses where you monitor the process, set up, and adjust existing programs as needed. ABB robots dose, handle, and move the parts through the first stages of processing.

• Has good experience with forklift driving
• Thrives in practical and heavy work
• Has experience with screwing, tinkering, or working in an industrial environment
• Has good work ethic, willingness, and ability to take responsibility
• Is meticulous and has a high safety awareness
• Can read and understand Swedish to follow instructions and safety routines
