About the School

Vargen is an independent comprehensive school covering grades 4–9 in Kiruna, located in the Vasallen area. We offer high-quality teaching and have a highly competent teaching staff. At our school, children are challenged and build their knowledge for the future. Every student should feel seen and welcome here, given the best conditions to succeed in their schoolwork. We are a relatively small school with 156 students. We run camp activities, including an autumn camp and a spring camp for the students. We are now looking for a teacher with qualifications in Swedish. The position is a combined role with responsibility for the school library at Vargen (30 %).

• Are passionate about Swedish, reading, and school libraries and possess solid subject knowledge.
• Have good collaboration skills and thrive working in teams.
• Have a reflective approach and actively work on developing your own and the school's teaching methods.
• Plan, document, and conduct your teaching in accordance with our governing documents.
• Possess strong communication skills and strive to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Qualifications

You have a teaching license and experience working in a school. You are responsible, positive, and have a deep interest in education and learning.
