Your Mission

As a specialist in general practice at Stenhagen Health Centre, you will play a central role in providing person-centered care to patients of all ages, with a special focus on promoting health and preventing disease. Here, you will work with a broad range of medical issues, from acute and chronic conditions to preventive healthcare and follow-ups. Your role also includes close collaboration with our Child Health Centre (BVC), where you will become a secure and long-term contact for our youngest patients and their families.

As an employee at Stenhagen Health Centre, you have the opportunity for continuous planned competence development through further education and supervision. Mandatory courses are included in your employment as part of your schedule. If there is an interest in research, this can be discussed. The position of general practitioner within Region Uppsala includes working at our emergency clinics and standby clinics.

Your Competence

We are looking for you with specialist competence in general medicine; experience in primary care is meritorious. You enjoy working in a team with the patient at the center and would like to contribute to the development of the operations. As a person, you are structured and can make medical assessments with confidence and professionalism.

As a person, you are also sensitive, empathetic, and good at building trusting relationships, both with patients and colleagues. You have good communication skills and value collaboration and knowledge exchange with the entire team to achieve the best possible care for patients. We are looking for you who are flexible and solution-oriented and who take responsibility for developing both your own competence and the care at the unit.

In addition to being a good communicator and mastering the Swedish language, it is an advantage if you have an additional linguistic background. Your willingness to develop primary care together with other employees at the health centre will be put to good use here. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Our Operations

Stenhagen is an expanding district where the health centre has and will have a central role. We are constantly developing in terms of working methods and premises. The future plan is to build a completely new health centre that will be adapted to future primary care. Several professions work here today, and the ambition is to now grow into an operation that represents all professional areas within the health centre mandate. Stenhagen Health Centre works with the basic mandate as well as new developing working methods, so we call ourselves the health centre of possibilities.
