Locum Tenens in Child Neurology and Habilitation – Akademiska Barnsjukhuset

Our Operations

Akademiska Barnsjukhuset provides broad and highly specialized pediatric care with close collaboration between various specialties and the rest of the hospital. Research, teaching, and continuous development are important components of our work.

We are now looking for you who have an interest in pediatrics and wish to work with child and adolescent habilitation for six months. This position is a locum tenens cover for one of our specialists who is on leave for half a year.

Your Role

Your placement will primarily be at our Habilitation Clinic on Kungsgärdet, where we work in teams consisting of physicians, nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers. After an introduction period, you will hold consultations for children and their families. Specialists will be available for supervision. You will be part of our team of child neurologists at Akademiska Barnsjukhuset and participate in various training sessions and ward rounds, offering good opportunities to learn more about pediatrics and child neurology.

Depending on staffing needs until spring 2027, the locum tenens position may be extended. If there is room for additional specialist training (ST) positions, they will be advertised separately.

You will have an assigned supervisor during your locum tenens period, which means that if you later take on an ST position, you may be able to credit this service time.

Your Qualifications

You must hold a Swedish medical license, have good collaborative and communication skills, and an interest in pediatrics. Great importance is placed on your personal qualities and your ability to contribute to the operations. Experience working in pediatric care from previous employment is an advantage, as is research activity related to Akademiska Barnsjukhuset.
