About Viljan Youth Residence

The Youth Residence HVB (Home for Care and Housing) consists of ten furnished and fully equipped apartments. The building also includes staff housing with personnel on-site 24/7. The basement features a gym and laundry room.

All treatment at our facility is individualized. We do not have shared activities or common spaces, which allows the young people to focus on their own development in a calm and secure environment.

Our target group: Young people aged 16–22 with psychosocial and/or neuropsychiatric challenges. The target group also includes individuals who have previously received treatment for substance abuse and are currently drug-free.

About the Role of Social Pedagogue

We work with great commitment regarding the children and young people living with us. The role of a social pedagogue involves planning, implementing, and following up on pedagogical and therapeutic interventions based on the individual's needs. The work is built on creating secure relationships, motivating change, and strengthening the individual's ability to become independent. It also includes documenting interventions and participating in planning meetings and development work. You will serve as a support for the client, and together you will develop strategies to achieve daily goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual support in daily activities, social training, and skills development.
  • Work based on implementation plans, treatment methods, and pedagogical interventions.
  • Conduct structured conversations, motivational interviewing, and use other evidence-based methods.
  • Write case notes, implementation plans, risk assessments, and reports according to current guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, social services, schools, healthcare providers, and relatives.
  • Create a stable, safe, and predictable environment; handle conflicts and set boundaries.
  • Plan and implement activities that strengthen participants' social and personal development.

Qualifications

You are relationship-oriented and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills, relate to others in a listening manner, and enjoy working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can identify individual needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Education as a social pedagogue or 400 YHP treatment pedagogue, plus competence in mentalization theory.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).
  • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience with documentation.

Merits:

  • Experience working with the current target group is a plus.
  • Previous experience with the target group and/or work in HVB homes is a plus.

Working Hours: Shift schedule, day/evening/weekend
Start Date: 2026-09-01
Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement of Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
