Crafts Teacher for Prismaskolan in Mariestad

Prismaskolan in Mariestad is a primary school (grades F-6) located in a scenic natural area near the center of Mariestad. Opened in 2017, the school offers bright facilities inspired by Lake Vänern and the surrounding nature. The premises are designed to provide conditions for flexible teaching opportunities where school and after-school care collaborate. There is a large schoolyard with opportunities for varied activities.

For the autumn term, we are now looking for a crafts teacher for a position covering both wood/metal and textile crafts who wants to be part of our good work at the school. Job Responsibilities

As a crafts teacher, you will meet students from different grade levels here at Prismaskolan. With engagement and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment that stimulates students to joyful learning. You teach textile as well as wood and metal crafts, and you plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the curriculum and the school's goals. You work closely with colleagues in the work team to create a stimulating and safe learning environment.

Your role also includes the following tasks:

• Ordering materials.
• Collaborating with special needs educators and class teachers for clear support measures.
• Integrating digital tools and participating in cross-curricular projects.
• Monitoring and documenting student development.
• Supporting colleagues with inclusive methods and tools.

The employment is full-time and is to be filled by the start of school in August.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree with qualifications in wood/metal and textile crafts. Previous teaching experience in the subject as well as experience with inclusive teaching, such as regarding ADHD/Autism (NPF) and multilingualism, is meritorious.

You are an engaged educator who can inspire, motivate, and see every student's potential to reach the goals. We want you to be flexible and have good collaboration skills. You value building relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You should also have the ability to develop the work based on the assignment, have a creative mindset, and enjoy developing new ways of working.
