Treatment Assistant at Ungbo in Mariestad

HVB (Home for Care and Rehabilitation) is a residential solution for young people aged 13–21. We support young people whose home environment, social issues, or conflicts make it impossible to have a functional daily life at home. In the Municipality of Mariestad, we operate a centrally located HVB home called Ungbo. Following the departure of one of our skilled employees at Ungbo to new challenges, we are now looking for their replacement.

Responsibilities

At Ungbo, we have four places available, plus one additional place in our support housing.

Together with the commissioning authority, the young person, and their guardians, we develop an individual treatment plan. We work on finding flexible solutions for the young people's complex issues and involve them in shaping the goals for their time at the residence. We also map out protective and risk factors for the young person.

In your role as a Treatment Assistant, you work on ADL (Activities of Daily Living) training based on the young person's prerequisites. You also collaborate with various agencies, including schools, healthcare, dental care, youth clinics, the police, and psychiatry.

The focus is on providing our young people with a secure base with a clear daily structure and safe relationships with stable adults, where you play a key role for the individual.

Follow-up and associated documentation are also part of your duties.

Working hours include days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education such as in social pedagogy, treatment pedagogy, social psychology, social work, or other equivalent education. You should also have relevant work experience working with children and young people, as well as a strong interest in social work.

As a person, you should be confident in your professional role and have a good ability to convey trust and stability. We also look for someone who is communicative and team-oriented. You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as communication and documentation are important parts of the job.

It is an advantage if you have experience and knowledge of low-affective handling and if you have prior experience from treatment and assessment work with this target group.

A driver's license is a requirement for the position, and you must be able to work days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call shifts.
