The Supply Chain Planning (SCP) department consists of 19 people and is part of Supply Chain Management (SCM). The department's areas of responsibility include sales and operational planning for the final product and API, detailed production and delivery planning, material planning (i.e., purchasing of direct production materials), load and transport planning towards market companies and external customers, and the creation of layouts for printed packaging material.

The department operates in both Uppsala and Brunna.

Job Responsibilities

The role of Material Planner is responsible for ordering direct material so that set goals regarding inventory and good access to material for production are met. Orders must take into account set shelf lives, lead times, and capacity at goods receipt. The tasks are performed primarily in SAP and Excel.

As Team Leader, you will also be responsible for coordinating daily tasks for material planning, being the first point of contact for material planning issues, and facilitating improvement work.

  • Create, communicate, and update purchase orders in SAP as needed.
  • Monitor order confirmations.
  • Monitor and follow up on deliveries and raise any potential risks.
  • Handle invoicing.
  • Monitor material release, prioritize when necessary.
  • Develop and communicate material forecasts to global functions and suppliers.
  • Create and maintain master data in SAP.
  • Monitor material expiration dates, initiate extensions where possible.
  • Manage the sale of materials to other factories within Fresenius Kabi.

About You

You are a communicative person with excellent collaboration skills. You are accustomed to international contacts, thrive in a complex work environment, and can handle multiple simultaneous priorities. You work in a structured, goal-oriented manner, can switch between routine tasks and more strategic tasks. You have experience leading others and are driven in improvement work.

  • Relevant university degree.
  • Experience as a Material Planner or Operational Buyer for direct material is required.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
  • Meticulous and quality-conscious is required.
  • Very good proficiency in working with Office, especially Word and Excel, is required.
  • Experience in the process/manufacturing industry, preferably the pharmaceutical industry, is meritorious.
  • Experience with system-based material planning is highly meritorious.
  • Experience in creating instructions is required.

About the Position

The position is a fixed-term appointment on probation, which after 6 months converts to a permanent position after agreement between the parties. Immediate start.
