APR Technologies is a Swedish technology company founded in 2011 with the goal of developing next-generation cooling systems for data centers, electronics, and battery systems. Through compact and energy-efficient liquid cooling using micropump technology, APR improves the energy efficiency of electronics and battery modules, thereby reducing their environmental impact.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Thermal Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Enköping, Sweden. In this role, you will design and verify thermal systems using simulations and experiments. You will also perform selection and design of thermal management solutions and ensure thermal performance.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop thermal requirements, thermal architecture, and detailed thermal designs for systems and components.

· Perform thermal simulations, modelling, and engineering calculations.

· Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

· Identify potential thermal risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.

· Plan, prepare, and perform thermal testing of systems and components.

· Prepare technical documentation including thermal analysis reports, test plans, test reports, and design specifications.

Qualifications

· Degree (preferably Ph.D.) in thermal management of electronics.

· Experience with CFD tools and thermal modelling.

· Experience with electronics cooling and immersion systems, and sustainable renewable energy solutions.

· Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and system-level thermal design.

· Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments.

· Practical experience of thermal testing and preferably also of vacuum systems.

· Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

· Experience with thermal simulation tools.

· Experience working with complex electronic, industrial, aerospace, automotive, or embedded systems.

· Experience with test automation.

· Familiarity with verification testing and validation methodologies.

· You are of course fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
