As a planning architect, you are responsible for the detailed planning process. In the detailed planning process, you work with overarching visions, ideas, and needs. With your design skills and good knowledge of legislation, you translate, improve, and channel this into detailed plans and contribute to creating tomorrow's sustainable society where people can grow and thrive.

The work of producing detailed plans involves exciting and challenging tasks that involve a lot of cooperation and dialogue both internally within the municipality and with external parties. You lead detailed planning projects where you find creative and functional solutions in urban building in collaboration with others.

The assignment includes written and oral communication, such as consultations with stakeholders, information meetings for the public, and presenting cases to politicians in the municipality's committees. You contribute, like our other employees, to developing the work processes within the unit and the department.

Qualifications

You have education as an architect, planning architect, landscape architect, urban planner, cultural geographer, or other education at university or college level that we assess as equivalent. You must have very good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act, the Environmental Code, and adjacent legislation applied in urban planning, particularly the planning process within the Planning and Building Act.

You have at least three years of experience in detailed planning. You also need to have experience in making planning maps. It is an advantage if you have experience in implementing and following up on complex assignments and projects. We would like you to also have interest, knowledge, and experience regarding environmental issues and social sustainability.

As a person, you see the big picture and take into account the larger perspective when making decisions. You understand your role but look to the best interest of the entire operation in action and decisions. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. At the same time, you adapt easily to changed circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You are a communicative person who listens and is receptive to the other party and adapts to the situation.
