Your role as AC Economist

Svevia is now looking for an engaged AC Economist for our Industry division, specifically the Southern Paving department.

As an AC Economist, you play a central role in supporting project managers and site managers regarding project controlling and other financial management. You are responsible for follow-up, analysis, and reporting within the AC area and are a key person in ensuring that financial management maintains high quality and adheres to set schedules.

You are part of the AC area's management group and work closely with department controllers and other AC Economists at Svevia. Together, you create structure and understanding of how operations connect with finance.

You report to the Chief Controller within the contracting business area, and the position is based at our office in Gothenburg or Malmö.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Ongoing financial work such as accounting, monthly reporting, forecasts, and project controlling

• Support and coach managers in financial matters

• Train in financial processes and tools.

• Actively participate in management group work within your AC area.

• Collaborate closely with administrators in the AC area, other AC Economists, and department controllers

• Administer the setup and closure of projects

• Contribute to the development of financial management within your AC area

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in economics

• 2-5 years of work experience in a similar role

• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• Experience working digitally and with modern digital tools

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Valid driver's license (Category B)

We consider it a merit if you have:

• Experience from the construction and civil engineering industry or manufacturing industry

• Experience working with progressive profit calculation/project accounting

• Previous experience working in financial systems, such as Agresso/Unit4

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement.
