Job Information

Professionals Nord, in collaboration with our client, is looking for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Umeå. This assignment is part of our staffing service. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for our client for a period of 12 months.

The intention is that you may eventually be hired directly by the client, provided all parties are satisfied with the collaboration. Responsibilities

As a geotechnical engineer with our client, you will work on varied projects for both private and public/state clients. The primary geographical area is Västerbotten, but you will also collaborate nationwide with colleagues at other offices and regions. Initially, you will have your mentor and the rest of the team as strong support. As you become more confident in your role, you will take on more challenging and developmental tasks. Examples of responsibilities include:

• Planning and coordinating geotechnical investigations
• Performing stability calculations
• Performing settlement calculations
• Drafting technical descriptions

We are looking for you who

have a university degree (or are about to graduate) in geotechnical engineering or geoscience. Previous experience in geotechnical work is meritorious but not a requirement.
