Description

We are looking for you who are a trained teacher in Home and Consumer Studies for grades 6–9.

In the role of teacher, you are expected to work based on a shared understanding of the organization's mission, where the students' best interests are at the center. Your contribution in the daily meeting and dialogue with students, guardians, and colleagues is crucial to achieving the goal of an equitable education and high-quality teaching. You are expected to take overall responsibility for the results achieved, both academically and socially, and contribute to a safe and inclusive teaching environment. With a positive and solution-oriented approach, you work from a holistic view of the student's development and learning. The task is to ensure that every student, based on our steering documents, receives the best possible education.

We hope that you specifically want to be involved in development, take initiative, and seek out new challenges and tasks. You will be part of a work team and, both independently and together with others, plan, implement, document, and evaluate the pedagogical work.

At Silverskolan in Arjeplog, we are approximately 45 staff members taking care of our 250 students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Home and Consumer Studies with the eligibility to teach in grades 6–9 of the compulsory school.

We are looking for you who want to work in a smaller locality where security and a sense of community are important.

You should be cooperative, open, and receptive in meetings with others. You are interested in developing yourself and the school and dare to think in new ways. You see students' different needs and take their conditions into account. As a teacher, you must have the ability to take responsibility, plan, implement, and follow up on the operations. You must have basic computer skills to use the IT tools we use in teaching.

In collegial learning, you are happy to share both knowledge and experience and spread joy at work in the workplace.

In the work of including all students, you show great commitment and interest.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
