Vallentuna Municipality has the courage to lead. Our ambition is to be at the forefront when it comes to innovative solutions, smart working methods, and an efficient organization. As an employee, you play a vital role in this development work. The municipality as a workplace is characterized by a consensus between politics and operations, where the common interest and responsibility for Vallentuna's best shine through. Attitude, accessibility, and customer focus are important in our work to achieve good results and increased quality.

Commitment, collaboration, and equal value for all should permeate our organization. You, as a candidate, should naturally share our common values.

About the Operations

Karlslundsskolan is a well-functioning primary and lower secondary school (Grades F-9) in central Vallentuna, with easy access to good transportation links. Approximately 500 students attend the school. You will join a culture where innovative thinking is encouraged, and where we are happy to support you through your development projects with your colleagues.

We are looking for you who, with a sharp pedagogical eye, see the potential in every student and are driven to develop teaching in accordance with current research and proven experience.

We are now seeking a certified teacher who wants to take a key role in a development project focused on clarifying pedagogy (tydliggörande pedagogik). Welcome to Karlslundsskolan, where you will find a work environment where the staff wants to develop, is open to change, and where student health services, school leadership, and educators are closely connected.

Responsibilities

You will work on a project aimed at developing teaching to make it more accessible and inclusive through clarifying pedagogy. The project will run during the academic year 2026/27 and is funded by SPSM (National Agency for Special Education). Karlslundsskolan currently works with Chromebooks in Google for Education and Smartboards. We already work extensively with accessible learning and clarifying pedagogy, and there is a structured, competent student health service and several special education teachers working on teaching development.

You will play a central role in designing, leading, and driving development work in practice. Furthermore, the assignment involves driving development processes in a systematic and structured manner based on the project plan. You will work operationally to implement clarifying pedagogy in teaching. You will lead and mentor teachers and educators in their development work. You will analyze results (e.g., surveys, observations) and translate them into concrete measures, collaborating closely with special education teachers and providing continuous feedback to school leadership and student health services.

This role also involves writing a final report to SPSM, which funds the development work. This means you need to have the competence to document your work from day one and describe the development at the end.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a certified teacher (a requirement).
  • Have solid competence regarding students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and understand the importance of clarifying teaching for everyone.
  • Have good knowledge and experience of clarifying pedagogy in practice.
  • Have experience working systematically and goal-oriented based on a project plan.
  • Have experience driving development work or projects.
  • Have experience mentoring and leading colleagues.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

  • Have special educational competence.
  • Have experience in school development at the organizational level.
  • Have experience leading collegial learning.
  • Have documented experience of successfully implementing clarifying pedagogy.

Personal Attributes

  • You work towards results, show reliability, and take responsibility for planning and following up on your work.
  • You strengthen relationships by helping others, collaborating, following rules and processes, and sharing information.
  • You develop, improve, seek solutions, and learn and acquire knowledge on your own initiative.
  • You are the link, provide service, show loyalty outwardly and inwardly, and monitor the external environment.
  • Your common values are visible in your attitude towards others.
  • You have good collaboration skills.
  • You are accustomed to working together with different professions.
