Teacher for Innovitaskolan St Jörgen, grades 4-6

Help develop the school together in a team with students, colleagues, and the principal.

Innovitaskolan St Jörgen is a preschool to grade 9 school with approximately 560 students. The operations consist of two parallel classes in lower and middle school, and three parallel classes in upper school. The school's organization is based on teams per grade level, where the teachers in middle school are jointly responsible for all students in the team. The student health team works closely with the teams, with a clear focus on preventive and promoting measures.

We are now looking for an experienced teacher qualified to teach in middle school. The position includes mentorship for a class in grade 4, where you teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), Technology, and Social Studies (SO).

A close and non-hierarchical collaboration

At the school, we work in teams around each grade level. This means that you share the teaching responsibility with your colleague in grade 4.

We place great emphasis on your pedagogical competence and our shared relational approach. To give the students the best possible prerequisites, we have organized support in the form of half-class lessons and periods with a two-teacher system. This places high demands on your ability to collaborate; you are expected to plan and structure the teaching jointly to utilize these extra resources so that each student reaches as far as possible in their development.

Through regular team meetings and subject conferences, we analyze our teaching. Here we work collegially to create an inspiring, varied, and enjoyable learning environment.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 4–6 and who have many years of experience in the profession. You have a secure anchoring in the school's governing documents and are accustomed to working with systematic quality work.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a clear student focus and see preventive and promoting work as a natural part of the school's development.
• Are analytical and structured in your working method.
• Are driving in development processes, both within subject teams and work teams.
• Have a good ability to build trusting relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues.
