We now have an opportunity for a permanent position as a teacher at Björkängsskolan, 100% full-time, starting from August 12, 2026. We are looking for a teacher with broad subject qualifications for grades 4–6, with a particular focus on Science (NO), Social Studies (SO), Mathematics, English, and Swedish. Björkängsskolan operates with a subject-teacher system. Each teaching team consists of four teachers, and the grade levels are divided into three parallel streams. The school also employs student support staff to assist pupils in their learning.

About You

We prefer that you hold a teaching degree and a license to teach multiple subjects within grades 4–6. Please clearly state which qualifications are listed on your teaching license in your application. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and puts the student at the center of their work.

• You have an inclusive approach, are responsible, structured, and quality-conscious.
• You have strong collaboration skills and communicate from a solution-focused perspective in every interaction with colleagues, students, and parents.
• You are curious and interested in meeting and supporting all students based on their individual needs.
• You can work independently as well as collaboratively with the teaching team to plan, implement, and evaluate pedagogical work according to the school curriculum.
• You are a confident person with good self-awareness.
• You are clear in your leadership while simultaneously fostering engagement and participation.
• You are interested in driving pedagogical development and have a genuine interest in research and development.
• Experience with grading is an advantage.

We are looking for a driven person with great commitment. Good IT skills are also preferred.

About Us

Björkängsskolan is a school for grades 4–6 with just under 200 students, located in central Töreboda with good transport links to nearby municipalities. At Björkängsskolan, we share a common vision regarding safety and a conducive learning environment.

The school has developed a common foundation for leadership and stimulation, and we place significant emphasis on providing extra adaptations to meet every student's needs.

All teachers at Björkängsskolan are licensed. We also have an EHT (Student Health Team) dedicated to Björkängsskolan four days a week.
