About Us

Trossö Primary Care Centre is a friendly and well-regarded clinic located in central Karlskrona. We have approximately 30 employees, including four specialists in general practice and five resident doctors (ST-läkare). As one of our doctors is moving on to a research position, we need to expand our team to meet our patients' needs for continuity and quality of care.

The clinic covers a small geographical area in the city centre and has 7,700 registered patients.

About the Job

As a doctor at Trossö Primary Care Centre, you will work broadly within the field of general practice, including varied outpatient clinics, home healthcare, and child health services. We are linked to two elderly care homes and a Child Health Centre (BVC), and we have a well-functioning collaboration with municipal district nurses. Home visits to residents in their own homes are a recurring part of the job.

We staff the evening and weekend emergency clinic together with other primary care centres in the Region. We also provide on-call home services.

As a general practitioner, we offer you the opportunity to work with your own, fixed patient list with individual patient caps based on recommendations from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Our goal is to develop teamwork so that you work with the patients on your list together with a district nurse in a fixed care team.

Supervising trainee doctors and students is part of the role. We are highly committed to supervision and education. Supervision training will be offered if you do not already have it. In the doctor's group, we have an open climate where we support each other.

Region Blekinge organizes regular internal continuing education for primary care, and there is an opportunity to participate in FQ/Balint groups.

About You

We are looking for you who have a Swedish medical license with specialist competence in general practice.

You have a genuine interest in helping people and working with the patient in focus. You are confident in your professional role and contribute to our good working atmosphere. Furthermore, you collaborate easily and have good initiative and organizational skills. You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Region Blekinge assigns all permanent staff to wartime duties. Some of our positions are security-classified, requiring the employee to undergo a security clearance interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). Applicants who are considered for employment must provide a certificate of no criminal record from the Swedish Police Authority before employment.
