The Care and Elderly Services Administration consists of two operational areas: Specialized Housing and Health and Medical Care, as well as Home Care and Authority Unit. In total, we have approximately 370 employees. Our HSL (Health and Medical Services) operation currently consists of approximately 35 employees, and we are now looking for an engaged nurse, preferably with specialist training, to join a cross-professional team. We offer varied, independent, engaging, and stimulating work.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse, you are responsible for the assessment, implementation, and follow-up of municipal health and medical care interventions. You work independently but are also an important part of the team surrounding the patient. You will work in home healthcare, where working hours are scheduled during weekdays, every 6th weekend (Saturday-Sunday), and one Friday evening per 12-week cycle.

We have a close collaboration with health centers, hospitals, doctor's cars, and ambulances, which we continue to develop to strengthen good and safe care at home. The transition to "Close Care" means that more patients are cared for to a greater extent in their own homes, and we perform more qualified care at home, where you coordinate, plan, and carry out health and medical care interventions for the patient while maintaining contact with relatives.

Start date: 2026-08-31 or as agreed. Employment type: Fixed-term contract until 2026-12-31 with possibility of extension. Full-time or as agreed.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. It is meritorious if you are a specialist nurse with a focus on district nursing or elderly care, and have experience from municipal health and medical care. Experience with our medical record system LifeCare is also meritorious, as well as Link and NPÖ.

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-insight. You take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured way and enjoy having your own areas of responsibility. Being responsive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues, patients, and others, is second nature to you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information reaches its destination. Furthermore, you adapt easily to changes and promote a good work environment.

Furthermore, you master the Swedish language to a degree that allows you to communicate with patients and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in the operation system, good computer skills are required.

Category B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles is required; a leased car is available.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Terms of Employment and Other

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.

According to the Law (2026:43) on register control when working in the homes of elderly persons or adults with disabilities, you must be able to show an extract from the criminal record register when offered employment.

In connection with reference checking, we will also request extracts from IVO regarding any supervision cases, as well as extracts from the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed health and medical care personnel.

If offered employment, you must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or alternatively a valid work permit.
