About Us

Hjälpmedelscenter in Blekinge is organizationally placed within Region Blekinge but is governed by a cooperation board representing Blekinge's five municipalities and Region Blekinge.

Hjälpmedelscenter's mission is to ensure that the county's residents are offered good access to assistive devices on equal terms, as well as to provide specialist expertise within the field of assistive devices. Through consultation and advice, we support prescribers in municipalities and the region.

Hjälpmedelscenter provides specialist expertise to meet the needs of patients and prescribers. We are currently looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist and wish to develop in your role and become part of our team.

About the Job

We offer a one-year fixed-term position as an Assistive Device Consultant, with the possibility of extension. You will be part of a team consisting of Assistive Device Consultants and Assistive Device Technicians/Engineers, providing expertise in general and individual advice and fitting of assistive devices. Our range targets both adults and children. You will also work with training for prescribers, telephone advice, and participate in the procurement of assistive devices. Some parts of the work may be carried out at locations other than Hjälpmedelscenter.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 2–4 years of experience as a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist. Prior experience as an Assistive Device Consultant is not required.
• Has experience with assistive device assessments according to the prescribing process and fitting procedures.
• Has good knowledge and experience working with Office programs and electronic patient records.
• Has the ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Is service-oriented, flexible, and has a consultative working style.
• Has pedagogical skills and experience in planning and conducting training sessions.
• Has a valid B-driver's license.

Personal suitability is highly valued.
