About Us

The Child and Adolescent Clinic provides specialist healthcare to young people aged 0–18 in Blekinge. The clinic has approximately 135 permanent staff members, including 25 doctors, of whom 8 are in specialist training (ST). The care is divided into two units, one in Karlskrona and one in Karlshamn. Emergency services and inpatient care, including the child and adolescent ward and the neonatal unit, are located in Karlskrona. Our day care and neonatal home care also operate from Karlskrona. The outpatient clinics are located in both Karlskrona and Karlshamn.

About the Job

We offer a specialist training position (ST) in general pediatrics with varied tasks in both outpatient and inpatient care, along with training that follows the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare’s regulations and general recommendations, including both external and internal education. The clinic has a dedicated specialist-trained ST study director, and upon employment, you will receive a specialist-trained supervisor and an ST training contract. Both supervision and onboarding time are scheduled. The position includes on-call duties.

Region Blekinge designates all permanent staff for wartime service. Some of our positions are security-classified, requiring the employee to undergo a security clearance interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with an interest in child and adolescent medicine. As a person, you are positive, flexible, have good communication skills, and are easy to work with. Previous experience in child and adolescent medicine is an advantage. Personal suitability is given great importance.
