Summer job that makes a difference – Elderly Care in Karlskrona is hiring!

Karlskrona Municipality is now looking for summer substitutes for elderly care. Here you get the chance to develop, create valuable experiences, and contribute to the well-being of our seniors.

What does the job involve?

As a summer substitute in elderly care, you help our seniors with everything from personal care to social activities. You can work in our care apartments, in home care services, or at our day activity center. Here are some of the areas you can work in:

• Home Care and Special Housing: Provide care and support to our elderly.
• Night Patrol: Ensure our elderly receive the care they need during the night.
• Rosengården Short-term Care: Work with physical and mental rehabilitation.
• Palliative Ward: Provide end-of-life care and support to relatives.
• Respite Care: Relieve relatives.
• Safe Return Home: Help the elderly feel safe after a hospital stay.
• Laundry Assistant: Provide laundry services to the elderly and people with functional limitations.
• Day Activity Center: Create activities and social contexts for people with cognitive diseases.

What are we looking for in you?

• A genuine interest in helping people.
• Good teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
• Computer literacy.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license and cycling experience may be required for some positions.
• You must be at least 18 years old to perform tasks included in most positions.

Merits:

• Education in nursing/care.
• Experience in similar work.

When do we need you?

The need for our service is constant – during the day, evening, night, and weekends, depending on the position offered. We offer full-time or part-time work according to agreement. Answer questions in the application and fill in your availability.

Information about the recruitment

• Employment Type: Summer Job / Vacation Work.
• Duration: 11 days – 3 months.
• Working Hours: According to schedule. Unconventional working hours such as evenings/weekends are included in the position.
