We are looking for a Childcare Worker at Sameskolstyrelsen in Jåhkåmåhkke

Sameskolstyrelsen is a government agency with its office in Jåhkåmåhkke (Jokkmokk). We work to promote Sami culture and language within education. The Sami School is an educational form equivalent to the compulsory school, offering education from pre-school class to year 6, based on Sami culture and language according to the curriculum. We also operate preschool activities in consultation with the respective municipalities and have operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna. Additionally, we offer distance education in Sami languages and support the development and production of teaching materials.

We are currently seeking a Childcare Worker for our preschool. This is 1 position.

Responsibilities

You will work across all departments of the preschool. We currently have three departments. Since this is a pool position, it is crucial that you are flexible and positive.

Your main responsibilities include being attentive to the children's needs, interests, and wishes. You should have a positive view of people and the ability to build good relationships with the children, as well as the ability to prevent and resolve conflicts together with them.

Qualifications

• Education as a childcare worker or equivalent.
• Good ability to collaborate (documented).
• Proficiency in the Sami language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Sami culture and traditions.
