The Sami Education Authority is a government agency with its administration, including school director, controllers, HR, and case handlers, located in Jåhkåmåhkke.

The Sami School is an educational form equivalent to the compulsory school, offering education from pre-school class to year 6. The starting point for the teaching is Sami culture and the Sami language according to the curriculum for the Sami School. The Sami Education Authority also operates preschools in agreement with the respective municipalities. The Sami Education Authority has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

The Sami Education Authority arranges distance education in the Sami languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sami education.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in accordance with the preschool's guiding documents and from a Sami perspective, both individually and in work teams.
• You actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with the rest of the staff at the preschool.
• Participate in other work at the preschool together with the staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A teacher's degree with a valid teaching license, or other education deemed suitable by the employer.
• You are proficient in North Sami, both orally and in writing.
• You have a positive view of people and have the ability to create good relationships as well as the ability to prevent and resolve conflicts.
• You are meticulous, flexible, and attentive to the students' needs, and enjoy working with children and young people.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
