Our department cares for patients with lung diseases and gastrointestinal diseases, as well as patients with various internal medical conditions. This means you will encounter people with lung cancer, COPD, respiratory failure, other lung diseases, liver diseases, and inflammatory bowel diseases. The department uses a lot of medical technology equipment, and you will receive both training and support to feel secure in your work.

Teamwork is central to us. We collaborate closely across all professional roles and are a ULVE unit with many students. Our culture is characterized by an open and supportive climate where questions are welcome and where we help each other in both simple and difficult situations. We are approximately 60 employees of different ages, backgrounds, and experience levels, and many have worked with us for a long time, which creates security and broad competence. These colleagues are also a natural support for you as a new employee. We handle tough daily events, but it is through our community, humor, and ability to support each other that we find our strength together. During our night shifts, we collaborate closely with Unit 3, which is located right next to us.

We are two managers who have both worked long-term at the unit and have previously been employees themselves, which means we are close to the operations and work for a strong team spirit, cohesion, and good attendance. Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you have the ultimate responsibility for the patients and their medical care. You monitor medical parameters, perform patient examinations, and are responsible for medication management and other medical interventions. Your role includes leading the team around the patient and collaborating closely with nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, and other professions to create safe and secure care. You participate in rounds and have ongoing dialogue with municipalities, other operations, and relatives. The work also involves participating in development work and patient safety work where you contribute to strengthening the quality of care.

We work according to a rotation schedule and work two weekends out of five, where you can partially influence when you work your weekend shifts. During your initial period, you do not work nights, but night work becomes a regular part of your duties once you are established.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. If you have experience from hospital care, it is a plus, but even if you are newly graduated, you are warmly welcome – we will give you support to get started in the work.

In our team, we value flexibility and the ability to adapt to different situations. The work may involve rapid changes, so it is important that you are solution-focused and can think creatively when needed. You take responsibility for your work, are receptive, and communicate in a way that creates collaboration and security.
