General Practitioner Specialist Wanted for a Welcoming Health Center

Here, we are responsible for approximately 6,600 registered patients, which provides good conditions for continuity, close patient relationships, and a sustainable way of working. We are a dedicated staff group with good cohesion, where collaboration and job satisfaction are central parts of everyday life.

About the position

As a General Practitioner Specialist, you work broadly with routine tasks within primary care. You meet patients of all ages with varying care needs, and play an important role in contributing to continuity and quality in care. We work towards the goal of 1,100 registered patients per GP specialist.

About the workplace

Östra Primärvården (Eastern Primary Care) includes Region Blekinge's health centers, youth clinics, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, wound centers, Karlskrona Rehabilitation Center, and the Mobile Doctor's Van. Residents of Blekinge who fall ill go directly to the health centers and receive health care that does not require hospital resources. Care is provided in all of the county's cities, on several smaller localities, and sometimes in patients' homes. Our goal is to be a modern outpatient care service where teamwork and patients' needs are at the center.

Qualifications

You have a Swedish medical license with specialist competence in general practice. You can be newly graduated or have long experience – however, it is meritorious if you have previous experience working at a health center.

You master the Swedish language in speech and writing. You have a genuine interest in helping people and always work with the patient in focus. You are confident in your professional role and are a positive colleague who contributes to our good working climate. Furthermore, you have good cooperation skills, initiative, and organizational ability.

Region Blekinge mobilizes all permanent staff for wartime service. Some of our positions are security-classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). Applicants who are relevant for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record register before employment.
