About the Company

Do you want to kickstart your engineering career and work on real customer projects? We are now looking for a Junior Designer for SIGI Europe in Ängelholm. SIGI Europe AB is part of the international group Southworth International Group (SIGI), a global player in lifting and positioning equipment with operations in several countries, including the USA, Sweden, Germany, and China. In Europe, the company works with brands such as Marco and Hymo, which are well-known for customized lifting solutions.

Your Responsibilities

You will work with mechanical design in customer-specific projects, primarily in an engineer-to-order (ETO) environment. The role involves gradually taking on more responsibility and contributing to both customer orders, internal production equipment, and product improvements. You will follow the entire design process – from concept to finished drawings and manufacturing documentation. The work is carried out both independently and in teams, and you will receive a structured introduction to our tools and working methods. You will become part of a design team of approximately 13 people, focusing on collaboration and development. Your main responsibilities: • Create complete manufacturing documentation for released designs • Create engineering drawings • Prepare documentation in internal systems (SIGI) • Ensure that designs meet relevant standards (e.g., Machinery Directive and EN 1570) • Deliver documentation according to schedule • Ensure that the documentation is complete and clear for production and purchasing • Communicate changes in documentation to relevant parties

Your Background/Qualities

• Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or alternatively a vocational higher education (YH) in CAD or similar. • Are at the beginning of your career or have some years of experience. • It is an advantage if you have a background from the manufacturing industry. • Have experience with 3D modeling, preferably with SolidWorks. • Have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written (additional languages are an advantage). • Are goal-oriented, responsible, and thrive in organized environments. • Are down-to-earth, unpretentious, and enjoy working in a team.
