Do you have a strong interest in energy supply? Are you passionate about sustainable energy solutions? Are you motivated by driving development issues? Are you driven, good at collaborating, and skilled at conveying your knowledge clearly? Then welcome to us as we now seek a Society and Business Developer on a fixed-term contract with a focus on strengthening Scania's energy supply to the Department of Regional Development!
Our Mission
Our mission at the Department of Regional Development is to promote development, sustainable growth, and employment for all of Scania based on political decisions. We act as the engine and unifying force for regional development. The department is divided into ten units working within areas such as infrastructure, digitalization, innovation, planning, environment, climate, health, business development, investment promotion, internationalization, and societal analysis.
Our unit for Environment and Health is located in both Kristianstad and Malmö. Your main placement for this position is Malmö, but work in Kristianstad also occurs. Responsibilities
As a Society and Business Developer, you work with a regional development perspective. You play a key role in the ongoing work to transform Scania into a carbon-dioxide-low society based on the region's strengths and conditions. You work in a team with engaged colleagues from several different units within regional development. You primarily work on issues related to Scania's Effect Commission, as well as work related to Climate Cooperation Scania.
In regional development work, you collaborate broadly with other societal actors such as business, municipalities, the county administrative board, national authorities, and academia. A central part of the role involves working to drive sustainable development by mobilizing partnerships, producing knowledge bases, conducting pilot projects, and promoting financial support to organizations and projects. Producing written material by analyzing and weighing different perspectives is a large part of the work, as well as translating this into oral presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Within our work with Scania's Effect Commission, we work in various ways to promote energy efficiency, energy flexibility, grid expansion, and an increased supply of electricity through more fossil-free electricity production.
Qualifications
We welcome you who have a university/college education with an energy connection. If you also have natural science, technical, analytical, or engineering competence, it is meritorious. You have a good understanding of and experience with sustainable energy systems and the challenges of electricity supply. You need to have a good understanding of the interplay between business and the public sector, as well as experience of strategic work within politically governed organizations or business regarding energy issues. Additionally, you have previous relevant experience of project management and/or process leadership.
As a person, we see that you are driven and accustomed to working both independently and in teams. You have the ability to identify development issues and combine the work of long-term goals with concrete tasks. The role requires that you have strategic ability, that you can relate to common wills and guidelines, and that you can translate these into practical action and wise decisions. We also value that you find it easy to collaborate with others, are receptive, and have the ability to create good relationships to carry out the important work of sustainable development. To handle this in the best way, you need to have good communication skills, be unpretentious, and be driven by achieving results through collaboration in complex contexts. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
