Do you want to make a real difference in people's lives?

At Wäxthuset, we are not just looking for a new employee, but the right person who wants to become part of our small, family-like team.

We are a treatment home where community, responsibility, and engagement are at the center. Here, we work closely with each other and our patients, with the goal of helping people return to life.

About the position

The position is an all-round role where you will become an important part of the daily operations. Your tasks will include, among other things:

  • Kitchen work two days a week
  • On-call shifts one weekday evening per week
  • Patient-facing work
  • Practical tasks such as driving and working in the garden

The kitchen is the heart of the house. Here, you not only cook food but also work together with our patients to create structure, community, and participation.

Working on-call with us means meeting people in difficult life situations, creating security, and maintaining structure even during challenging moments.

The position is flexible, but we anticipate 80% weekday and weekday evening shifts. Given the varied nature of the role, you must be able to prioritize and plan your tasks. The kitchen position is shared with another person, and you need to be able to plan the kitchen operations together with this colleague.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is engaged, driven, and responsible
  • Thrives in a team environment but is also comfortable working independently
  • Has a genuine interest in people and wants to contribute to change
  • Is flexible and not afraid to take on varied tasks

You share our value system, which is based on the 12-step program, and see people's potential for change. To fit the role, you must be a person who walks the talk. You are confident in yourself, capable of setting boundaries, and skilled at building relationships with the patient as the focus.

Requirements

  • 2 years of post-secondary education with a focus on social work
  • 5 years clear of criminal record (extract from criminal record)
  • Category B driver's license for manual vehicles
  • In case of personal dependency issues, at least 2 years of sobriety

Merits

  • Kitchen experience
  • Experience with stress-reducing methods such as yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques

What we offer

With us, you will:

  • Work in a small, close-knit, and family-like team
  • Have a meaningful workday where you make a difference
  • Enjoy a varied role with significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence
  • Work in an environment with clear structure and routines
  • Have an present manager and high competence within the team

Do you feel that this is more than just a job and that it is a context you want to be part of?

Then we would love to hear from you.

Start date: August 17th or as agreed.

Send your application with CV and cover letter to [email protected] by June 14th. The recruitment process is ongoing, so do not wait to apply!
