Are you ready for the next step in your career – or are you already a manager today? At AniCura Western Veterinary Hospital, we are looking for a goal-oriented, communicative, and coaching leader who wants to help develop our operations further. This is a combined role where you will work approximately 30–40% in a management position and spend the remaining time working clinically as a veterinarian.

About the Job

In this role, you will work closely with our Veterinary Manager and lead a part of the veterinary team in an operation characterized by high care quality, great engagement, and care for both patients and pet owners – all within a warm and inclusive team spirit.

As a manager, you have overall responsibility for both strategic and operational personnel matters, and contribute to development within operations, quality, economics, and planning. You create the right conditions for your employees to develop and perform, while together you drive the operation towards set goals.

You are part of the management team and report to the Operations Manager. The role is performed in close collaboration with the Veterinary Manager.

Your Main Responsibilities

Personnel and Leadership

  • Personnel responsibility including working environment and rehabilitation.
  • Employee interviews and individual development plans.
  • Planning and follow-up of competence development.
  • Salary setting and salary negotiations.
  • Handling personnel-related issues such as onboarding and offboarding, absence, and holiday planning.
  • Staffing and resource planning in close collaboration with the scheduler and Veterinary Manager.
  • Recruitment and introduction of new employees.
  • Ensuring clear communication of goals, expectations, and decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of routines, guidelines, and working methods, and ensure compliance.
  • Actively work with AniCura's five principles together with the team.

Operations and Economics

  • Contribute to an efficient and economically sustainable operation according to budget and strategy.
  • Drive and create engagement in improvement work as a natural part of everyday life.
  • Work with resource and competence optimization for increased efficiency.

Leadership

  • Act from a holistic perspective and make decisions in line with values and guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly and ensure that messages get through.
  • Work in a coaching and situation-adapted manner with respect for employees and colleagues.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are a licensed veterinarian and have a strong interest in leadership and business development. You have a good ability to create engagement, build trust, and help people grow.

You are confident in your communication, structured in your work approach, and have the ability to switch between operational and strategic issues. As a person, you are sensitive, clear, and solution-oriented, with a genuine interest in both people and quality in care.

Previous experience in leadership is meritorious, but we also welcome you who are ready to take your first step as a manager.
