Job Information

Professionals Nord, in collaboration with our client, is looking for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Umeå! This assignment is part of our staffing solution. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for our client for a period of 12 months.

The intention is that you may eventually be hired directly by the client, provided all parties are satisfied with the collaboration. Responsibilities

As a geotechnical engineer with our client, you will work on varied projects for both private and public/state clients. The primary geographical area is Västerbotten, but you will also collaborate nationwide with colleagues at other offices and regions. Initially, you will have your mentor and the rest of the team as strong support, and as you become more confident in your role, you will take on increasingly challenging tasks. Examples of responsibilities include:

• Planning and coordinating geotechnical investigations
• Stability calculations
• Settlement calculations
• Drafting technical descriptions

We are looking for someone who

has a university degree (or is about to graduate) in fields such as Road and Water Construction or similar. Previous experience in geotechnical work is an asset, but not a requirement for the position.
