Job Description

In the role of Tester, you work with driving testing activities in both projects and operations, normally in connection with the delivery of new functionality or bug fixes. A major focus lies on the execution of functional tests in the systems. You document the tests via our test tools regarding test cases, bugs, and compile test progress continuously. We would like you, as a tester, to be accustomed to working in an Agile context, e.g., within SAFe, where you primarily are responsible for ensuring that test cases and the execution of tests align with the test strategy and test plan. We welcome that you want to work hands-on with testing and that you have good ability to work on developing our functional test automation.

You will primarily work in a support function to the development in the train to support the test phases System Test, System Integration Test (SIT), and Acceptance Test with a focus on regressions for E2E flows.

The assignment includes the following tasks:

• Support the development team and the business in performing tests.
• Work on improving and developing methods within testing for operations and projects.
• Operationally ensure that testing responds to strategy and test plan.
• Work on building and developing test automation and frameworks.
• Ensure the execution of system and system integration tests.
• Work with testing in an Agile context.
• Work with testing in traditional IT delivery.
• Handle functional tests.
• Coordinate testing towards both IT and the business.
• Handle and coordinate bug fixes.
• Document testing in our test tools JIRA and/or Azure DevOps.
• Work with testing within operations.
• Work as Tech Lead within the test and quality team.
• Work with the following technology/tools: Cypress, Playwright, Typescript, AKHQ, GitLab, Artifactory.

Requirements

1. Education University or college education with a degree as a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or equivalent within Physics, Telecommunications, Data, or IT.

2. System and Testing Work At least 10 years of professional experience in system testing, system integration testing, and acceptance testing.

3. Energy Sector At least 1 year of professional experience from the energy sector.

4. Test Automation At least 10 years of experience in developing test automation frameworks and automated tests using Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.

5. Safety-Critical Systems (electricity/energy/real-time) At least 10 years of experience as a tester in systems with high demands on availability, operational reliability, and real-time functionality within safety-critical infrastructure, such as electricity transmission systems, energy systems, or similar operations with 24/7 operation and system responsibility.

6. Communication Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

7. Agile Testing Processes At least 10 years of professional experience in developing and improving agile testing processes and ways of working.

Value-Added Requirements

1. Power Balancing At least 1 year of experience testing systems that handle power grid balancing.

2. Programming At least 5 years of professional experience in programming in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#.

3. CI/CD Tools At least 5 years of professional experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab Runner.
