Job Description

Your main tasks will be to assist in outpatient surgeries that we conduct here at the clinic in our excellent operating rooms. Work at the reception and administrative tasks are other duties included in the daily workload. Before you start working independently, we offer you an individual introduction program and support from experienced colleagues.

The Team

The Maxillofacial Clinic is part of the Sense Center at Linköping University Hospital. The Maxillofacial Clinic is a relatively small clinic with approximately 35 employees but with a large area of activity within oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, and oral medicine. The clinic treats patients with diseases in the facial and jaw region or with complex jaw and facial defects. Other common treatments involve accidents with injuries to the jaws, face, and jaw region, infections, temporomandibular joint disorders, and dental surgeries. We provide county, regional, and inter-county healthcare/dental care. Specialized care and research are conducted at the clinic, and the clinic collaborates with other specialties in plastic surgery, neurosurgery, and the ENT clinic at Linköping University Hospital. The clinic provides specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is responsible for national training for operating dental nurses.

About You

You have a dental nurse degree from a qualified vocational education or university college. You are interested in developing further towards oral and maxillofacial surgery and are curious about what it means to work in healthcare.

Merit points are given for completed training in oral and maxillofacial surgical care for dental nurses or previous work as an assistant nurse.
