We are now looking for a residential support worker for our team in Nyängen. We offer training and a developing job where you make a difference! The position is a permanent employment.
About Nytida Nyängen LSS Nyängen is a group home under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) targeting clients with diagnoses within the autism spectrum or intellectual disability.
In a clear environment that is easy to handle and feel at home in, the residents can live as independently as possible with need-adapted support. We base our approach on the individual's unique conditions, strengths, interests, and needs so that each resident can develop and thrive.
About the role As a residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical perspective. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and rich in content. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, weekends, and sleeping on-call.
The position requires a valid B-driver's license.
You have a group leader or group manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a future career opportunity for you.
Your experience and knowledge You who apply have a high school education in care and nursing or other equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is meritorious if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, and you always have the best interests of our users as your starting point in everything you do.
