About the Job

Älvsborgs Assistans is looking for you who wants to work as a Personal Assistant. We are seeking assistants for several different clients. You should be calm and confident in yourself, with a strong interest in working with people with various disabilities. You must have the ability to build trust and enhance quality of life based on the client's conditions.

As a personal assistant with us, you work together with the case manager and other personal assistants.

We are currently looking for several personal assistants for short or long-term vacancies. These assignments can lead to permanent positions on a rotating shift schedule. On-call duties with overnight stays may occur. The work will be performed at clients' homes with various disabilities, where you will be an important part of their daily lives.

All positions include working every other weekend. Solo work occurs for most of the day.

Responsibilities

• You will provide support in the individual's daily life based on their needs, following their decisions, the individual implementation plan, and routines.
• The support may cover all aspects of life, such as personal care, communication, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and various activities both inside and outside the home.
• Delegated healthcare services (HSL) and social documentation are part of the job.
• Collaboration with representatives and other professionals around the individual is included in the assignment.

It is also natural for you to have a professional approach and put the client at the center. Personal qualities and suitability are highly valued.

Qualifications

• You must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Computer skills that allow you to document.
• The position requires sufficient competence and skill to receive several delegations according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).

Experience in nursing and upper secondary education in care and assistance is advantageous. Experience with diabetes and acquired brain injury is also advantageous. A driver's license is advantageous but not a requirement.

Other Information

• Selection is conducted on an ongoing basis.
• A valid extract from the police criminal record is required and must be shown or submitted before employment.

Employment Type: Fixed-term or permanent depending on the assignment, with probationary period.
