About the role
Our client is a publicly owned organization with a mission central to the functioning and development of society. The operations are characterized by long-term perspective, stability, and a strong focus on public benefit. On behalf of our client, we are now seeking a Junior Financial Controller for a long-term consulting assignment with the ambition that the assignment will eventually lead to a permanent position with our client. As a Junior Financial Controller, you will become an important part of a senior and competent team that is currently undergoing an exciting change journey. You will primarily support customer and supplier accounting as well as invoicing, and work on process improvement. This is an ideal position for you who are eager to learn and develop within accounting and financial management.
This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and work on behalf of our client. We will initially sign a six-month contract, with the assignment expected to transition into a permanent position with our client in the long run. The office is located on Kungsholmen.
As the role is security-classified, Swedish or Nordic citizenship is required. Prior to the start of the assignment, a passed drug and alcohol test is also required, as well as a passed background check and security clearance with register control. More information regarding this will be provided later in the process.

Responsibilities
In the role of Junior Financial Controller, you will:
- Support customer accounting, supplier accounting, and invoicing.
- Streamline existing manual processes.
- Analyze and ensure data quality.
- Participate in projects regarding automation and robotics.
We are looking for you who
- Have a completed academic degree in Business Administration, Industrial Economics, or similar.
- Have some prior relevant experience within finance/economics.
- Have good knowledge of Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables) and the Office suite.
- Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Merits
- Experience with BI tools.
- 1–2 years of experience within finance/accounting.
