About the Medical Unit
At Internat Blentarp, we have a Medical Unit located in a beautiful and calm environment in the area of Skåne's Blentarp, adjacent to Internat Blentarp. The Medical Unit is a 24-hour unit where nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors work. The staff possesses solid knowledge and experience in addiction and withdrawal treatment.
About the Nurse Role
You will be one of two nurses and will be part of a team consisting of nursing assistants, doctors, and therapists.
The position involves working weekdays, with one evening shift and weekly on-call duty.
As a nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Admissions to treatment
- Participation in medical assessments
- Follow-up of somatic parameters
- Medication management. Most of our patients have self-medication
- Handling of alcohol and drug test results
- Withdrawal care in collaboration with our doctor
- Care for cognitive impairment after active addiction to alcohol and drugs
- Mentoring and support for nursing assistants

Your qualifications, you:
- Have experience working in addiction care and/or psychiatry
- Have experience working independently and making decisions in consultation with doctors, and are confident in your profession
- Have good collaboration skills and thrive in close cooperation with other professions
- Are flexible and stress-resistant
- Are interested in development work
- Share our conviction that change is possible and that everyone has the right to freedom from addiction
- Are a licensed nurse
- Hold a valid driver's license (Category B)
