Your new role

We are currently looking for a Strategic Buyer for a high-tech company within sensor-based systems. Here, you will play a key role in developing supplier strategies that influence future advanced products.

As a Strategic Buyer, you will become part of a category team responsible for driving the strategic agenda related to critical suppliers and key technologies. You will have commercial responsibility for selected supplier relationships and work to ensure optimal business solutions from a holistic perspective – quality, cost, and technology.

You will collaborate closely with production, product management, engineering, and suppliers to create alignment regarding requirements and identify new opportunities for value creation.

The role also includes responsibility for supplier performance and support in escalated issues. You will play an important part in development projects where you drive purchasing activities and ensure commercially sustainable decisions.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Develop and manage long-term supplier agreements
• Drive strategic purchasing work in development projects
• Manage commercial supplier relationships and monitor performance
• Contribute to make-or-buy analyses and strategic supply chain decisions
• Work on improvements within cost, quality, and delivery performance
• Handle certain operational purchasing tasks as needed

Salary: Approx. 40,000 SEK/month

To succeed in this role, you need

• Some years of experience in purchasing
• Experience in developing and negotiating commercial agreements
• Experience in supplier management and relationship building
• Proficiency in working with business and ERP systems as well as governing processes and coding systems
• Experience from process- and project-oriented environments
• Interest in or experience from technically advanced environments
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Meritorious: Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methods
