Setterwalls Law Firm is currently looking for a Head of Accounting to join their excellent team in Malmö.

Here, you will take broad ownership of the accounting and its processes – with ample room to influence, improve, and create long-term solutions. You will become a key person in holding together and developing the accounting work moving forward.

This is a role with breadth. You will be responsible for and lead the accounting work from start to finish – from year-end closing to tax declarations – while simultaneously helping to shape future financial processes and acting as the CFO's right-hand person in several matters.

You will report to CFO Niklas Hermansson, a genuine, experienced, and humble leader, and become a natural part of the finance team of eight people in total. You will also have close collaboration with colleagues within business support and legal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for and lead the work regarding monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, as well as preparing annual reports.
• Ensure correct bookkeeping according to applicable regulations.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs and business drivers.
• Make forecasts and analyses, and proactively suggest measures.
• Support the operations in accounting matters.
• Coach and develop the finance team.
• Ensure correct handling of VAT, taxes, and regulatory compliance (Swedish and international).
• Identify and drive improvements within processes, routines, and internal controls.
• Drive automation and efficiency within finance (accounts receivable/payable, invoicing, closing, etc.).
• Assist in budgeting and follow-up.

Who are you? We believe you have around five years of combined experience in accounting or Financial Controlling and are accustomed to year-end closing work. You have a good understanding of the entire accounting chain and an interest in working with systems and process development.

You are structured, meticulous, and used to working independently – but also a humble team player who enjoys bouncing ideas off colleagues. You are a secure leader who helps people develop and perform together. To succeed in this role, it is important that you have high integrity and feel secure handling sensitive information.

You are solution-oriented, analytical, have an eye for detail, and like to find effective ways to work smarter. You have good knowledge of Excel and are comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English.
