About the position

On behalf of our client, we are now recruiting several AML Investigators for a long-term assignment with immediate start. We are looking for both full-time consultants and students with the possibility to work part-time (and full-time during the summer). In the role of AML Investigator, you will play a central role in preventing economic crime. You will work with analyzing complex transaction data and customer information to ensure good regulatory compliance.

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and work on behalf of our client. We are looking for someone who can start immediately and has a long-term perspective on the assignment. You will be based at our office in Malmö, where the work will initially be performed on-site only.

Responsibilities

In the role of AML Investigator, you are part of the operational AML work and focus on ensuring customer onboarding and the ongoing monitoring of customers and their behavior. Main tasks that are central to the assignment:

• Perform transaction monitoring, handle alerts, and investigate suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing
• Analyze suspicious activities and high-risk customers (incl. PEPs and sanctions lists) and conduct risk assessments
• Responsible for Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, onboarding of new customers, and ongoing customer contact for information gathering
• Document and compile investigations and prepare material for internal reporting
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal AML processes and routines

We are looking for someone who

• Has at least 6–12 months of previous experience in AML work related to corporate customers
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Has good knowledge of the Money Laundering Act and other relevant regulations
• (For the part-time role): Has ongoing academic studies in economics, law, or similar expected to continue for at least 1 year
