Stegehus HVB is seeking a summer temporary employee for Summer 2026

Primarily, we are looking for someone with a two-year post-secondary education focused on social work. If you lack formal education, we require extensive experience within the target group.

The organization operates a resource school and associated residential care for children and young people in need of an adapted study environment and housing. The facility is located in Vikbolandet at Stegeborg. Stegehus is a non-profit organization serving children and young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities, as well as children who have not received a diagnosis but require a holistic solution combining school and housing. Since 1977, Stegehus has welcomed children and young people in a family-like environment with a secure atmosphere, where the care of the children always comes first.

We now need to expand our team with more temporary staff for our residential homes. At Stegehus, you will be part of a work group of approximately 4–6 people; working alone may occasionally occur. We work according to a 4-week schedule, which includes evenings, weekends, and nights. Central to your work is your ability to build good relationships with the children, their families, and your colleagues. The tasks include all daily chores necessary to create structure and good conditions regarding the children's basic needs.

You will work together with your colleagues to create predictability and clarity for the children, focusing on meeting their primary needs such as sleep, nutrition, exercise, social interaction, and security. Together, you will work to create a pleasant and secure atmosphere in the house where you work. Each house accommodates 1 to 4 children.

We are looking for you who:

• Are a calm, secure, and stable person who has progressed in your personal development.
• Have a good understanding of how you function in different situations and know your strengths and areas for development.
• Have a natural aptitude for being both flexible and structured, as tasks are closely linked to the children's needs and developmental phases.
• Are inspiring and enjoy being active (this is an advantage).

We are currently seeking hourly temporary staff as needed, as well as for the summer temporary position in 2026.

You must have a driver's license and a car to get to work, and you will also be driving as part of your job duties.
