My name is Simon, I am almost 36 years old and live in Orminge. I use a wheelchair and lead an active life filled with travel, exercise, and community engagement.

I am now looking for a personal work leader for my assistance, who will also work as a personal assistant. The position is at least 80% in a rolling 4-week schedule. The leadership role is shared, and shared staffing responsibility is included, meaning the position can periodically amount to 100%. The schedule includes 24-hour shifts, longer shifts, day shifts, as well as on-call/waiting time during the night.

About the role

You will help me with daily life and in my home, as well as during activities and travels. The work also includes support for my engagement in the association JAG in Stockholm County, where I sometimes act as a spokesperson. In these contexts, there is always a representative present, but you will be involved in the practical aspects.

I use a wheelchair and need help with exercise and transfers. There are ceiling lifts in the home, but transfers outside the home are done manually.

Who I am looking for

You are kind, quick-witted, and have positive energy. You are solution-oriented, generally knowledgeable, and confident in matters related to a home. You are non-smoking and have good physical fitness, as the work requires both strength and endurance.

I do not speak but communicate a lot. You need to speak flawless Swedish and have a good ability to interpret and convey what I express. I use sign language and a communication app on my iPad, so you need experience using an iPad. Your imagination is welcome to be greater than mine.

I travel a few times a year, usually for up to a week at a time. You need to be able to join at least one trip per year. In winter, I go on ski trips (I use a ski-cart), and in summer, it could be trips to places like Scania or Gotland. Occasionally, there are also trips abroad.
