Thai Personal Assistants Wanted!

I am a woman who has had a neurological disease for 16 years. I live in Söderort, along subway line 17, with my family. I come from Thailand and speak Thai as my native language. I enjoy cooking Thai food, watching TV, and listening to music together with the assistant. In the summer, I like to go for walks, and sometimes, when I have the energy, we can go for a walk to pick mushrooms along the path towards the forest.

My disease means that my bodily functions are very limited. I communicate via a tablet and can use my voice to control things if something is not right. I have a ventilator that helps me breathe properly, and I use it for most of the day.

It is now time to recruit new employees due to leave of absence. I am looking for a woman who preferably can communicate in Thai.

Job Responsibilities

Since I cannot use my own muscle strength, I need help with all daily tasks. I use a wheelchair.

I cannot chew or swallow and receive food via a feeding tube directly to the stomach (PEG).

I communicate via text on a tablet and through eye contact.

You will assist me in my home, on shorter or longer walks, and for errands such as doctor's appointments. At night, the focus will be on staying awake and helping me with turning so that I can sleep in comfortable positions.

I need help with personal hygiene, personal care, toilet visits, dressing and undressing, transfers (ceiling lift available), food and medication intake, household chores, and exercise to maintain and improve my functions.

Qualifications

I am looking for someone who is ambitious and has a will of steel, a desire to get to know me and my needs fully. As a person, you should be calm, honest, orderly, meticulous, and reliable. You should have a big heart, and most importantly, you must have a lot of patience. You are interested in people and communication. You find it easy to connect with others and are quick to learn.

Having worked as a personal assistant or similar is an asset, but not a requirement. I have assistants and family members who will be there to teach and support you.

Employment Conditions

Working conditions are part-time/full-time.

Working hours are 07:00–15:00, 15:00–21:00, 21:00–07:00. You must be able to work night shifts a few nights a month.

Employment conditions are regulated by the collective agreement between KFO and Kommunal. The position is an hourly contract that can turn into a permanent position for the right person.

Stil will be your employer, and I will be your supervisor together with my co-supervisor.
