Job Description

As a Vehicle Tester for our client in Eskilstuna, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of passenger cars to ensure functionality, safety, and quality before delivery or after repair. You will work in a workshop environment alongside technicians and administration, where accuracy, clear documentation, and problem-solving are central. The role involves both practical test drives, diagnostics, and verification of performed actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform test drives and functional tests according to checklists and routines

• Conduct diagnostics using diagnostic tools and read error codes

• Inspect brakes, steering, lighting, tires, electronics, and other safety-critical components

• Document test results in the workshop system and report deviations or need for further action

• Collaborate with technicians to reproduce faults, suggest actions, and verify performed repairs

• Ensure order and safety in the work area and follow the company's routines for working environment and environmental management

Qualifications

• Education in vehicle technology or equivalent practical experience from a workshop is an asset

• Experience with troubleshooting or vehicle testing is desirable

• Good computer skills for documentation in administrative systems

• Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing

• Meticulous, safety-conscious, and solution-focused with good teamwork skills

• Driver's license B (manual transmission)
