We are currently seeking a reliable and independent accounting accountant for an organization within the education sector. In this role, you will become a central part of the finance function and play a decisive role in maintaining structure, continuity, and high quality in financial reporting. You will independently handle everything from daily bookkeeping to year-end closing and budget monitoring, in close collaboration with the finance manager. About the position

As an accountant for our client, you will have a broad and significant role focused on ensuring efficient and structured financial management. The work involves close collaboration with the finance manager, where you act as support in qualified financial matters while having overall responsibility for the daily flow in the financial system. Proactivity is highly valued here, and you are expected to drive the development of internal routines and processes to create a smooth and professional finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing accounting
  • Financial monitoring and analysis
  • Preparation of monthly, interim, and annual accounts
  • Financial calculations
  • Budget and forecast work as well as monitoring
  • Development and implementation of effective accounting routines
  • Payment management

We are looking for you who

  • Have relevant post-secondary education in economics
  • Speak Swedish and English fluently in both speech and writing as they are used in daily work
  • Have experience working in accounting
  • Have the ability to prepare monthly, interim, and annual accounts
  • Have knowledge of financial calculations
  • Have experience with budget and forecast work as well as monitoring with operational managers
  • Have experience with payment management
  • Have good knowledge of the Office package

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience working in the Pyramid financial system
  • A background working within the education sector
