We are seeking a Mechanical Designer for a project with our client within the defense industry. You will contribute to the development of advanced marine systems and play a key role in the design, installation, and production support for ship projects.

About the Assignment

In this role, you will work with both system and detailed design as well as installation work related to marine vessels. Tasks will vary over time and may include:

- Arrangement and placement of components

- Analysis and design of light and heavy steel structures

- Support for production and installation

- Modeling and product administration using the client's tools

- The assignment is performed on-site in Karlskrona and requires Swedish citizenship as well as a completed security clearance. There is a possibility for extension.

Your Profile

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

- 1-3 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer

- Experience from the defense industry and shipbuilding

- Proficiency in 3D modeling and product administration in Creo and Windchill (or equivalent)

- Good knowledge of sheet metal design, piping design, drafting, and manufacturability (bending, welding, machining)

- Industry experience from marine, offshore, vehicle, or mechanical sectors

- Understanding of classification rules (DNV, RMS) and AFS is an asset

- Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

- Swedish citizenship
