Quality Technician

Your Role
As a quality technician, you will work closely with your team in proximity to Saab's production. You are responsible for inspecting incoming items and providing measurement technical expertise in connection with deviations and investigations within production. This is done in close collaboration with purchasing and production quality.
Together with other colleagues in the department, you will help maintain the right quality of incoming items. In this role, you will drive measurement technical issues in various forums, which entails a responsibility to contribute to a continuous improvement culture where the customer is always at the center.
Main Responsibilities
- Measurements with hand measuring tools
- Document completed inspections
- Administer quality documentation in the IFS business system
- Deviation management
- Visits and measurements at suppliers may also occur
- Calibration
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, analytical, and flexible. The work requires responsibility, endurance, and the ability to act based on daily priorities. You enjoy working in a team as well as independently. To succeed in this role, you should have good communication skills as the role requires daily contact with various functions. We value a humble personality that is open to change and development.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in technology/quality or at least 3 years of work experience in quality work within manufacturing and production
Desirable Competencies
- At least 2 years of experience working with measurements using hand measuring tools
- Good knowledge of reading technical drawings, including geometric tolerances
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Swedish
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
