Youth Leader with a Focus on International Work and Youth Influence

Ulricehamn Municipality is in an exciting growth phase – we are growing while maintaining our small-scale character. As the largest employer with over 2,200 employees across 100 different professions, we offer a meaningful work life where development, community, and social benefit meet. With Vision 2040 – "Together towards the future" – we are shaping an innovative and sustainable everyday life, together. With us, you make a real difference every day in a culture characterized by courage, engagement, and opportunities to grow, both professionally and personally.

About the Activity

"Ungas fritid" (Youth Leisure) is Ulricehamn Municipality's open youth activity for young people aged 10 to 20. We have a fixed meeting place at Ungdomens hus (The Youth House) in Ulricehamn and a mobile operation through our leisure bus, allowing us to meet young people where they are throughout the municipality. We work based on needs and relationship-building, with strong faith in young people's potential. Our activity is based on the KEKS quality model and the European guidelines for open youth work. This means we start from voluntariness, participation, safety, and non-formal learning. We document our work in the Logbook and follow up through the Meeting Place Survey. We are an LGBTQI-certified activity, meaning we actively work to create safe, inclusive environments where all young people feel welcome and valued.

About the Position

This is a temporary position due to parental leave, calculated to last approximately 12 months, with the possibility of extension. We would like you to start as soon as possible, as you will be part of our summer activity work with the "Young Municipal Developers" project.

  • Establishing cooperation with European and national partners
  • Leading work on youth influence and democracy, e.g., in the form of young municipal developers, yard councils, or other dialogue rooms
  • Documenting and developing the activity in the KEKS Logbook and Meeting Place System
  • Collaborating with schools, associations, and other important actors close to young people

We expect you to contribute to the whole, both in direct contact with young people and in the development of our long-term goals. You work closely with your colleagues and find it easy to build relationships, both within the group and in contact with young people.
