The Unit for Multilingualism is a central unit for mother tongue instruction and tutoring in mother tongue within a 6-19 year perspective: in preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The unit's mandate includes coordinating and organizing activities in both municipal and independent schools.

Description of Duties

Your duties include teaching primary school students in the subject of mother tongue according to current curriculum documents, as well as potentially providing tutoring in the mother tongue. Teaching takes place at the municipality's schools.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teacher education or equivalent pedagogical education at the university level that the employer deems relevant for the position. The position requires that you have Danish as your mother tongue. You also need good knowledge of Swedish and very good computer skills. Having a B driver's license and your own car is considered a merit.

You have good pedagogical insight and understand how students acquire language and knowledge in different ways. You adapt the teaching based on each student's prerequisites and make the language lively and accessible. In your oral communication, you express yourself clearly, engaged, and in a way that creates security and understanding. Last but not least, you work in a structured manner, plan, organize, and follow up on teaching in an efficient way.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve a war placement.

Salary Form: Monthly salary.
Employment Form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
