The Multilingualism Unit is a central unit for mother tongue instruction and study guidance in a 6-19 year perspective: in preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The unit's mandate includes coordinating and organizing activities in both municipal and independent schools.

Our administrative offices are located at Fyrisborgsgatan 1, while the pedagogical activities take place at the municipality's schools.

Description of Duties

Your duties include teaching primary school students in the subject of mother tongue Norwegian according to current curriculum documents, as well as potentially providing study guidance in the mother tongue. Teaching takes place at the municipality's primary schools.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teacher education or equivalent pedagogical education at university level that the employer deems relevant for the position. The position requires that you have Norwegian as your mother tongue. You must also have very good knowledge of Swedish and good computer skills. Having a B driver's license and your own car is considered an asset.

You have good pedagogical insight and understand how students acquire language and knowledge in different ways. You adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites and make the language lively and accessible. In your oral communication, you express yourself clearly, with engagement, and in a way that creates security and understanding. Last but not least, you work in a structured manner, plan, organize, and follow up on teaching effectively.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve a war placement.

Salary Form: Monthly salary.
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
